Aetna Medicare Advantage Plan

Aetna is a nationwide insurance provider with over 225,000 physicians and 1,700 hospitals in its network. With an Aetna Medicare Advantage Plan, you have two options for a low monthly premium to get benefits, in addition to Parts A and B of the regular plan:

1. Aetna Medicare Advantage Plans – This plan type covers both parts A and B (hospital and medical), as well as vision and hearing.
2. Aetna Medicare Advantage Plans with Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage (MAPD) – This plan type covers parts A and B (hospital and medical), vision and hearing, and it includes Part D with prescription drug coverage and an ID card.

There may be copay and coinsurance rates that go along with a monthly premium.

Those with permanent kidney failure are not allowed to receive coverage, unless already enrolled in an Aetna HMO plan or if they have had kidney surgery within the last 36 months and no longer require dialysis.

To be eligible for an Aetna Medicare Advantage Plan, you must be entitled to general Medicare Part A, enrolled in Part B and paying Part B premiums regularly and on time. You must also live in an Aetna service area.
